Welcome to the Research Area, technical section which offers access to different research projects which had required some bioinformatics procedures. A large part of our projects, coordinated by Dott. Paolo Vigneri, Dott.ssa Livia Manzella and Prof. Angelo Messina at the BioMedical Science Department of the University of Catania (Italy), are, now since several years, orientated to the study of a severe, well-known, myeloproliferative neoplastic disease, Chronic Myelogenous Leukaemia (CML), both experimental and diagnostic level. Bioinformatics and other computational methodologies have improved the knowledge about different molecular mechanisms of this disease supporting different studies already in progress and suggesting new ones.
